Lighting is sourced: falling magnesium flares and burning buildings above ground (hard raking orange through smoke), cold emergency bulbs and flashlight cones below (single-source, hard-edged, failing). Camera favors handheld urgency on the street — whip pans, low angles, ash in the air — then slows into long, dark tunnel compositions where characters are small against arched brick vaults; depth-of-field is shallow on faces in crisis, deep on the flooded track receding into black. The narrative is one continuous escalation: pursuit, infiltration, encounter, revelation. Act structure is single-feature (act 1 of a longer serial), ending on a reversal — the messenger is the target. Dialogue is spare and clipped, English wartime register, with long visual beats allowed to breathe (the phone call, the floating body, the key on the red tag).
