Terms of Service

These Terms are between SceneMixer ("Platform", "we", at scenemixer.com) and you. By registering or using the service you accept them, including the bold clauses. The full in-product agreement (Settings → Platform Agreement) forms part of these Terms and prevails where they differ.

01The Service

SceneMixer turns scripts and novels into storyboards, character/scene assets and AI-generated video. Generation runs on third-party AI models; results are probabilistic and we do not guarantee any particular generation meets your expectations.

02Accounts

• Provide accurate information and keep credentials secure; activity under your account is your responsibility.
• No multi-account abuse of sign-up benefits; promotional credits may be withheld from abusive registrations.
• Not directed at minors.

03Credits, Payments & Subscriptions

• Credits are prepaid virtual instruments consumed by generation; each operation's price is shown before you confirm.
• Credits are charged on delivery. Tasks failing before reaching the provider are auto-refunded; ambiguous failures are held for review, never silently charged.
• Payments run through third-party processors (e.g. Stripe). Purchased credits and membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law: a paid service was not delivered or is materially defective, a purchase was made by a minor without guardian consent, or applicable law provides otherwise.
• Subscriptions renew per the displayed plan; cancelling stops the next cycle — the current cycle is not refunded pro-rata and benefits run to period end.
• Tasks that fail, are blocked by content moderation or time out upstream are refunded automatically; only delivered results are settled. In-app purchases (Apple / Google) are handled under the store's rules.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled any time from your account page; price changes are announced in advance and you may cancel before they apply.
• EU / UK consumers: by purchasing credits or a subscription you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once generation starts or credits are used.
• Users under 18 need a guardian's consent to pay; purchases made by a minor without consent are refunded on the guardian's request with proof of guardianship (net of used value).
• Chargebacks on delivered services may lead to credit reversal and account suspension.
• We may set an expiry for credits and promotional allowances as stated on the purchase or campaign page; credits without a stated expiry do not expire. Credits cannot be cashed out, transferred or converted to money.

05AI-Generated Content Marking

• Output carries a two-layer mark: a visible label plus an invisible, compression-resistant watermark / content credential, per applicable rules (e.g. CN deep-synthesis provisions, EU AI Act Art. 50).
• Removing the visible label is an optional paid feature, available only where your use-case's law permits; the invisible layer is never removed. We may audit and revoke the capability.

06Your Content & IP

• You retain rights in your uploads and warrant you may use them for generation.
• Subject to full payment and compliance, you may use generated results commercially to the extent permitted by law and upstream model terms.
• You own the generated results to the extent permitted by law, royalty-free, including commercial use (free allowances included), subject to compliance with these terms.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence solely to run the service (hosting, processing, forwarding to model providers, displaying results to you), to run content-safety review and to improve quality on a de-identified basis. Unless you separately consent or the law requires it, we do not use your uploads or outputs to train models; upstream providers process data under their own terms (see Privacy). Content you publish publicly, submit as a sample or enter into a campaign is deemed licensed to us, non-exclusively, for product showcase and promotion.
• No guarantee that outputs are copyrightable or registrable; similar inputs may yield similar outputs for other users, so outputs are not exclusive. Do not remove or alter implicit marks, watermarks or provenance metadata (Section 05).
• Platform software, UI and branding remain ours.

07Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

Send takedown notices to support@scenemixer.com with the work, infringing URL, contact, good-faith statement and signature. Valid notices lead to removal; repeat infringers may be terminated.

08Disclaimers & Liability

• Provided "as is"; no warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• No liability for indirect or consequential damages, nor for how you use generated content.

09Termination, Changes & Contact

You may stop using the service and request deletion anytime. We may suspend accounts violating Section 04, with lawful balances handled per Section 03. Material changes to these Terms are announced in-product; continued use is acceptance. Questions: support@scenemixer.com · Privacy Policy.
