Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro) for character, location and prop sheets

Nano Banana 2 is the cheaper Gemini tier; Pro vs 2 compares the two side by side.
What Nano Banana Pro does on this site
SceneMixer does not use an image tier to make posters. It uses it to draw sheets: a full-length casting photo of each character on white, an empty location plate with its light source readable, each important prop alone on white, and a state image for every second look (the wedding gown, the bandaged arm). When a shot is generated, the sheets of everything in it are handed to the video model as “this is what these look like”, and the model copies them closely. That is where consistency across a whole series comes from.
So the question for any image tier here is not “how pretty is one picture” but “how much of what I wrote about this person, room or object ends up on the sheet”. That is the axis Nano Banana Pro is strong on.
Where you pick it
Settings → Model Preferences → Image Model. The choice applies to every sheet you generate from then on — character, location and prop images in step 2, regenerations, state images — until you change it. Sheets already made keep their pixels; nothing is re-rendered by switching.
You can switch tier between groups: draw the leads on Pro, switch to a cheaper tier for background locations and props, and switch back. Sheets already drawn stay as they are.
What improves over Nano Banana 2
More of the description survives into the sheet. In practice that shows up in three places:
- Costume with many parts. A period outfit described piece by piece — collar, sash, the buttons on one side — keeps more of its pieces.
- Props with a mechanism. A pocket watch with an engraved lid, a folding knife with a brass bolster: the specific part is drawn, not a generic object.
- Faces in close-up. The anchor you gave the face — a scar through the eyebrow, a chipped tooth — holds, and the face reads as the same person from sheet to sheet.
The pixel count stays below the 2K tiers; the gain is in what the pixels contain, not how many there are.
How it reads your description
English sentences, read to the end. Write the character the way a casting director would: face first, then one unmistakable anchor, then build and posture, then one outfit. Chinese descriptions are rendered, but read less precisely than on the Qwen and SeedDream tiers; if your project’s descriptions are in Chinese, those tiers are the better pick.
As on every tier, describe causes rather than results: write a burn scar on the back of the left hand, not a hint of red. And leave mood out: sheets are deliberately plain, white background and even light, because whatever light is on the sheet is carried into every shot. How to write a character sheet description for Nano Banana Pro has worked examples.
What it costs
Every account has 15 free sheets in total (across projects, any type) on a project whose script has been read; after that each sheet on this tier costs 33 credits (about $0.21 at the lowest credit price). A rejected generation is not charged, and most failures are refunded automatically; a few kinds of failure are held until support checks them. Regenerating a sheet is a new charge; the old image stays until you replace it.
For comparison on this site: Nano Banana 2 is 25 credits per sheet, SeedDream 5.0 Pro 25, Qwen-Image 3.0 Pro 18. A cast of six leads drawn once each on Pro is six sheets; the money in a series goes into video, not sheets, so the detailed tier is usually worth it for the faces the audience watches most.
Content checks
Every description is checked before the sheet is drawn; a flagged description is not charged. Next to it, an IP check refuses sheets that resemble a real person, a brand mark or a character from a known film, game or comic, on every tier; see content rules and checks and IP suspected: celebrity, brand or franchise.
Common errors
What you may meet on this tier:
| What you see | Usual cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “Blocked by content safety rules — edit the script or description and retry.” | A word or phrase in the character or scene description tripped the check | Edit the description and generate again |
| “The generation service hit a temporary problem. You weren’t charged — feel free to try again.” | The service was saturated; the site already tried again once | Generate again in a few minutes |
| A sheet that ignores part of the description | Too many details competing in one description | Put identity details first; trim decoration |
| Generate All stops partway | Balance ran out; the remaining sheets were not charged | Top up, then generate the rest |
When to switch tier
Down to Nano Banana 2 for locations and props where fine detail matters less. To SeedDream 5.0 Pro when pixel count or photographic skin is the point. To a Qwen tier for Chinese descriptions or the lowest price. Which image tier for your sheets lays the whole choice out in one table.

FAQ
Can I use Nano Banana Pro on SceneMixer?
Yes: pick Gemini 3 Pro (Nano Banana Pro) in Settings, Model Preferences, Image Model. Every sheet you generate after that is drawn on it until you switch.
How much does Nano Banana Pro cost here?
33 credits per sheet, about $0.21 at the lowest credit price, after the 15 free sheets every account gets. A rejected description is not charged.
Is Nano Banana Pro free?
The first 15 sheets on an account are free on any tier, including this one. After that each sheet is charged at the price above.
Is Pro higher resolution than Nano Banana 2?
No. The gain is in detail and how much of the description is kept, not in pixel count. For more pixels, use the 2K SeedDream tiers.
Is Nano Banana Pro better than SeedDream 5.0 Pro?
Different. SeedDream renders 2K with the most photographic skin and reads Chinese well; Nano Banana Pro keeps more specified detail from English descriptions.
Does it keep the same character consistent across sheets?
The face is drawn once on the character sheet; state images (a second outfit, an injury) are generated from that sheet, and every video shot is matched to it. Consistency comes from the sheet being reused, on any tier.
Can I make video with Nano Banana Pro?
No. It is an image tier for sheets. Video is rendered on the video tiers, which use these sheets as references.
Does switching tier change sheets I already made?
No. Existing sheets keep their pixels; only new and regenerated sheets use the new tier.
Can I regenerate one sheet on Pro and keep the rest?
Yes. Switch the tier, regenerate that one sheet, and switch back if you like. Each regeneration is a new charge.
