Nano Banana on SceneMixer: Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 for AI series

Each tier has its own page: Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2.
Which Google models these are
Nano Banana is Google’s nickname for its Gemini image models, and there are three of them. The original Nano Banana is Gemini 2.5 Flash Image. Nano Banana Pro is Gemini 3 Pro Image, released at the end of 2025. Nano Banana 2 is Gemini 3.1 Flash Image: a preview on February 26, 2026 and a stable release on May 28, 2026. SceneMixer offers the two newer ones, Pro and 2.
The names on this site’s settings panel carry both labels, so you can tell which is which: Gemini 3 Pro (Nano Banana Pro) and Gemini 3.1 Flash (Nano Banana 2).
What they do on SceneMixer
An AI drama series stays consistent because every shot is generated against the same reference images. SceneMixer reads your script, lists the cast, locations and props, and draws a sheet for each: a full-length casting photo on white for a character, an empty room with its light source readable for a location, the object alone on white for a prop. A second look — the gown at the wedding, the cast on a broken arm — becomes a state image drawn from the main sheet.
The image tier decides how those sheets are drawn. Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 are two of the choices; the others are the Qwen-Image and SeedDream tiers. Nothing else about the project changes when you switch: the same storyboard, the same video tiers, the same price for video.
How to switch Nano Banana on
Settings → Model Preferences → Image Model. The choice applies to every sheet you generate from then on — character, location and prop images in step 2, regenerations, state images — until you change it. Sheets already made keep their pixels; nothing is re-rendered by switching.
- Open Settings from the account menu.
- Go to Model Preferences → Image Model.
- Choose Gemini 3 Pro (Nano Banana Pro) or Gemini 3.1 Flash (Nano Banana 2). The price per sheet is shown next to each tier.
- Back in your project, generate or regenerate the sheets in step 2.
Price per sheet, next to the other image tiers
| Image tier | Credits per sheet | Best at |
|---|---|---|
| Nano Banana Pro | 33 | Detail kept from long English descriptions; faces and costumes |
| Nano Banana 2 | 25 | Clean, faithful sheets from plain English descriptions |
| SeedDream 5.0 Pro | 25 | 2K, photographic skin, reads a long description end to end |
| SeedDream 5.0 Lite | 8 | 2K locations and props on a budget |
| Qwen-Image 3.0 Pro | 18 | Recommended tier; faces in close-up, Chinese descriptions |
| Qwen-Image 3.0 | 7 | The default; a whole cast cheaply |
Every account has 15 free sheets in total, on any tier. A description that is blocked by the content check is not charged. Sheets are a small part of what a series costs; most of the money goes into video seconds, which are priced on the video tiers.
Pro or 2: the short version
- Leads whose faces and costumes carry the story: Nano Banana Pro.
- Supporting cast, locations and props: Nano Banana 2, or a cheaper tier.
- Descriptions written in Chinese: a Qwen or SeedDream tier reads them more precisely than either Nano Banana tier.
- 2K pixels or the most photographic skin: SeedDream 5.0 Pro.
The full comparison is in Nano Banana Pro vs Nano Banana 2.
Writing descriptions that work on Nano Banana
Both tiers are at their best with plain English sentences that describe what can be drawn. For a character: face shape, brows, eyes, nose, mouth, skin and hair, then one anchor feature nobody else has, then build and posture, then one outfit. Leave out lighting and mood — a sheet is lit flat on purpose — and effect words like beautiful or cinematic, which draw nothing.
Worked examples for a realistic lead, an anime lead and a period costume are in how to write a character sheet description for Nano Banana Pro.
What Nano Banana does not do here
- It does not make the video. Shots are rendered on the video tiers; Nano Banana draws the references they use.
- It does not draw posters or moodboards in a project. Sheets are neutral by design; the look of each shot is written in the storyboard.
- It does not override the project’s visual style. The style is chosen in step 1 and every image tier draws in it.
- It does not change sheets you already have. Switching tier only affects new and regenerated sheets.

FAQ
Can I use Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 on SceneMixer?
Yes. Both are image tiers: choose one in Settings, Model Preferences, Image Model, and every sheet you generate after that is drawn on it.
How much does Nano Banana cost on SceneMixer?
Nano Banana Pro is 33 credits per sheet and Nano Banana 2 is 25, after 15 free sheets per account. The live prices are on the pricing page.
Is Nano Banana free here?
The first 15 sheets on every account are free on any tier, Nano Banana included.
What is the difference between Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2?
Pro is Gemini 3 Pro Image, 2 is Gemini 3.1 Flash Image. On this site Pro keeps more detail from long English descriptions and costs more per sheet; 2 is cheaper and composes cleanly.
Can I make a whole AI drama with Nano Banana?
Nano Banana draws the sheets; SceneMixer's video tiers render the shots against them, and the storyboard, dialogue and voices are handled by the rest of the pipeline. Together they make the series.
Does Nano Banana keep characters consistent?
Consistency comes from drawing each character once and reusing that sheet in every shot. Nano Banana Pro holds a face's anchor details well in close-up, which helps.
Which Nano Banana tier should I use for anime?
The style is set per project and both tiers draw in it. Use Pro for the leads if their costumes are detailed; 2 is fine for everything else.
Do I need a Google account or API key?
No. The tiers are part of SceneMixer and billed in SceneMixer credits.
Is the original Nano Banana available?
No. The tiers here are the two newer models, Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2.
