Make a promo cover poster for your AI drama series

The cover is drawn on your image tier; which one to use is in which image tier for your sheets.
What you get
- Three key-visual options — finished posters with your title painted in, built from your leads’ character sheets, so the faces and costumes are the ones in your series.
- The tagline and episode numbers on top — laid out by the site, not painted by the model, so you can change them any time without redrawing.
- Portrait 9:16 and landscape 16:9 — the project’s own shape first; once you pick one, the other is redrawn from it at no extra cost.
- Episode covers — the same poster with “EP 1”, “EP 2” and so on, in every size, if you want them.
- The share card — the cover becomes the picture people see when you share a link to the series.
Before you start
The cover is drawn from your leads’ reference art, so at least one lead needs a character image in step 2. If none has one yet you will see “Generate a character image for at least one lead before making cover art.” Ad projects don’t have cover art.
The image tier you have selected in Settings → Model Preferences → Image Model paints the cover. Switch it before you generate if you want a particular model on the poster.
Step by step
- Open the Cover art tab. In step 2 (Characters & Scenes) the tabs are Characters, Scenes, Items and Cover art. From the episode editor, the first card on the timeline is the cover; when it says Add cover, clicking it takes you there.
- Title. It is drawn right into the poster — 12 characters or fewer works best. The title of the series is filled in for you; edit it if you like.
- Title lettering. Four styles: Brush, Gold, Rounded and Serif. One is marked as recommended for your genre.
- Genre mood. Twelve moods — Romance, Suspense, Epic, Family, Feel-good, Workplace, Horror, Comedy, Teen, Survival, Sci-fi and Action — set the poster’s colours and atmosphere. The site reads your story and pre-selects one (“recommended for your story”); pick another if it is wrong.
- Cover characters. Pick up to two, people or animals, from everyone in the project who has a character image. Your leads are pre-selected. Characters who only appear as a voice are listed last.
- Tagline (optional). One line to hook viewers. The site can write a suggestion; it is added on top later, so you can leave it empty and add it after.
- Generate 3 options. The price is on the button. The three come back in about a minute or two.
- Pick one with Use this one. The site lays out the tagline and draws the other base shape for you.
Writing a title that comes out right
The title is painted by the image model as part of the picture, which is why it looks like a real poster rather than text dropped on top — and also why it can come out misspelled. The site does not correct it. Keep the title short (twelve characters or fewer is the safe range), check the spelling on each option before you pick, and if all three are wrong, change the lettering style or the tier and generate again.
Tiers whose makers stress lettering are a reasonable first try for covers: Grok Imagine Image 2.0 (35 credits per option) and GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (25). See Grok Imagine Image 2.0 and GPT Image 2.5.
Sizes and downloads
Portrait 9:16 and landscape 16:9 are always included. Three more shapes can be made from the one you picked — recomposed with the same people, outfits and title lettering:
- 3:4 — a short-drama platform cover.
- 1:1 — a social post.
- 4:3 — a landscape card.
Each extra shape is priced as one image on your tier. Download offers This size or All sizes. On a free account the AI badge is on the cover, as on videos; members can remove it, and the same setting controls covers and videos.
Episode covers
Once the series has a cover, Make episode covers makes one per episode, with its episode number, in every size. It is priced per episode and makes every missing episode at once; after that, changing the tagline or picking a different cover is free. New episodes added later are charged when you make their covers. In the episode editor, an episode without its cover shows a lock and Make cover.
Changing it later
- Tagline: change it any time with Apply; the layout is redone, nothing is redrawn, no charge.
- A different option: Pick a different one from this set or an earlier set; free.
- Title, lettering, mood or characters: these are painted into the picture, so changing them makes a new set of three, at the same price per option.
What it costs
- A set of three options: three images on your selected image tier — for example 3 × 7 credits on the default Qwen-Image 3.0.
- The first set on your account’s first project: free, once per account, on a project whose script reading you paid for (the same condition as the free sheets). On accounts created since October 23, 2026 it is made automatically once your leads have character images, marked “We made 3 from your story, free”.
- The second base shape (landscape for a vertical project, portrait for a horizontal one): free.
- 3:4, 1:1, 4:3: one image each.
- Episode covers: one image per episode, all missing episodes at once.
An option that does not come out is refunded; so is an episode-cover run that fails. The price is always on the button before you press it.

FAQ
Can SceneMixer make a movie poster for my AI drama?
Yes. Step 2, Cover art: it paints three poster options from your leads' character sheets with the title drawn in, and adds the tagline and episode numbers.
Is the cover free?
The first set of three on your account's first project is free. After that each option is priced as one image on your selected image tier.
Can I make a poster from a photo?
The cover is built from your characters' reference art. If you uploaded your own photo as a character's image, that character can be picked for the cover.
Why is the title misspelled?
The image model paints the title as part of the picture, and the site does not correct it. Keep it short, check each option, and generate again with another lettering style or tier if needed.
Can I change the tagline after?
Yes, any time, free. The tagline is laid out on top of the picture, not painted into it.
Which sizes do I get?
Portrait 9:16 and landscape 16:9 are included. 3:4, 1:1 and 4:3 can be made from the option you picked, each at one image's price.
Can I use the cover as a YouTube or TikTok thumbnail?
Yes: download the landscape version for YouTube or the portrait version for vertical platforms. You can use it the same way as your videos; see what you get to keep.
Can I remove the AI badge from the cover?
Members can, with the same setting that controls the badge on videos.
Can animals be on the cover?
Yes. Any character with a character image can be picked, people or animals, up to two.
