Switching Devices: What Follows Your Account, What Stays in This Browser, and How to Replay the Tour

Quick answer: Projects, sheets, clips, credits, orders, membership, your model tier preference, the badge setting and the record of which guides you have seen are stored with your account and appear on any device once you sign in. A few things are kept only in the browser you set them in: the interface language you picked (a new browser starts from its own language), text you typed into a box but did not submit, panels you collapsed, and the anonymous usage id. Signing in on two devices at once is fine; both see the same projects and task states. To see the onboarding tour again, use the setting for it or add ?tour=1 to a page’s address.

Sign in on a second device: your projects and balance are there; the interface language is that browser’s until you pick one.

What lives in the account

Everything that costs credits or that you made: projects and their episodes, sheets, states, storyboards, clips, composites, the library, orders and credit history, membership, referrals. Also your settings: preferred tiers, AI-badge choice, watermark preference, and the guides marked seen. Settings Item by Item.

The SceneMixer episode editor: asset library on the left, the storyboard in the middle, the video preview on the right, and every segment along the bottom timeline
Projects, credits, membership and settings are account data; the language choice and unsaved drafts live in the browser.

What stays in the browser

The interface language you chose from the menu (until you choose it on the other device too; a browser you have not chosen on picks its own language), drafts in the script box you have not submitted, which panels and hints you dismissed, the last tab you had open in some views, and the anonymous statistics id. Clearing site data in the browser resets these and nothing else; your account is untouched.

Two devices at once

Allowed. Generations started on one show on the other within moments; a segment being edited on one device is saved when you save it, and the other device sees the saved version on its next refresh. Avoid editing the same segment on both at the same time; the last save wins. Does Generation Continue?.

Replaying the onboarding tour

Each page’s tour shows once per account. To see it again, open Settings and choose to show the tour again, or add ?tour=1 to the page address. Sample projects run the same tours; ad projects do not have one.

Browsers

Any current browser works: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and their mobile versions from the last few years. Very old browsers may fail to open the storyboard editor or the live progress connection; update rather than switch settings. Private windows work but forget the per-browser items when closed.
