Create AI Videos From Text

Quick answer: To create AI videos from text you do not need a particular kind of text, but the amount of it decides the path. One sentence is written into a script first. A few pages are read as they are, in one pass. A long story or a novel is read in two parts, the cast first and then the episodes, up to 300,000 English characters. Whichever you bring, it ends up as the same thing: a cast, a set of locations, an episode list, a storyboard of numbered shots and then video. Here is each path, the limits on it and what to cut before you paste.

Three sizes of text, three paths

You haveIt goes in asWhat happensYou get
One or two sentencesAI Create briefA script is written to a length you pick, from Mini (about 1,000 counted characters, roughly 3,300 in English) to Long (20,000 counted), then readA script to review, then a project
A paragraph up to a long chapterUpload Script: paste, or .txt, .docx, .mdRead in one pass, up to 10,000 Chinese-equivalent characters (about 33,000 English characters)A summary, a cast, episodes
A story or novelUpload ScriptRead in two parts up to 100,000 equivalent characters (300,000 English)The cast first, then the episode list

“Equivalent” matters in English: every length on the site is counted in Chinese-equivalent characters, and 3,333 characters of English count as 1,000. The floor is about a paragraph, roughly 330 characters of English; below it there is nothing to split into episodes. Above the ceiling the read is refused before you pay, rather than silently cut. One sentence: say five things

A brief that carries the genre, the lead and what they want, the conflict, the ending and the tone comes back as a better script than a longer brief that does not. Pick the length by how much story you want: a longer script gives more episodes, not longer ones, because the read splits by story and each episode stays a minute or two. The script is written in the language your interface is in. Writing the one-line brief · AI story generator.

A few pages: prose or script, both work

You do not have to format a script. Prose is read, and so is screenplay layout. What changes is how much of your wording survives:

You writeThe storyboard gets
Mei (quietly): I saw him.The line, spoken quietly, on Mei’s shot
She told him quietly that she had seen him.A summary of it; nothing is spoken
Father (on the phone, hoarse): Come home. The line, heard but with the speaker not shown

Write what must be said as lines, and leave the rest as prose. Paste the text itself: a link is not fetched, and a table or a list is not a story and can fail repeatedly. Write dialogue so it is picked up.

A novel: why it is read twice

A single read has a fixed budget for what it can write back, and a fifty-episode book does not fit: read in one go, it would deliver a fraction of the episodes without saying so. So from 10,000 equivalent characters the read runs in two parts. The first finds the characters, locations and props. The second builds the episode list with a short outline for each. The first three episodes are prepared in full straight away; any other is prepared when you press Generate storyboard on it, and the button waits and then carries on by itself. You pay the read once, by the length of the text, however it is read.

A text over the ceiling is split into volumes, each its own project, and Pick existing brings a returning character across. Long scripts are read in two passes. For scale: a 30,000-character novel read as ten episodes of 90 seconds at the lowest video tier comes to about 10,026 credits, about $62 at the lowest credit price, nearly all of it video.

How long the video will be

Text length does not set video length. The story does: the read splits it into episodes, a Short Drama episode runs up to 240 seconds, a TV Series episode up to 300, and a Film has no cap. Within an episode, dialogue sets the seconds, at about three English words a second. Every segment is up to 15 or 30 seconds, and video is bought by the second, so the budget follows the finished length. Short Drama, TV Series or Film · 15 or 30 second segments.

What to cut before you paste

  • Backstory paragraphs. A camera cannot show them; keep them as one voice-over line or drop them.
  • Extra locations. Each place is drawn once and reused, so fewer is steadier and cheaper.
  • Extra named characters. Each gets a picture and a voice. Introduce a nickname once (“Elizabeth, called Liz”) so the read matches it to the full name.
  • Other people’s characters. The IP check refuses pictures and clips that resemble famous characters and real people.
  • Everything after your first scene, for a first test. Make the opening alone, watch it, then decide how much more to make.

Make it in SceneMixer, start to finish

  1. Script: paste your own on Upload Script, or write the brief above in AI Create and let it draft the episodes.

  4. Storyboard: generate episode 1 first (free on your first drama) and read it before you render anything. One place per segment.
  5. Video: render on the default tier at 10 credits a second, fix single shots instead of whole episodes, then put the episode together and post.

FAQ

How do I create AI videos from text?

Paste your text, or write one sentence on AI Create. It is read into a cast and episodes, you check the storyboard, and then video is generated segment by segment.

How much text do I need?

At least about a paragraph, roughly 330 characters of English. One sentence is enough on AI Create, which writes the script for you.

What is the longest text it can read?

Up to 300,000 English characters in one project, read in two parts. Beyond that, split it into volumes.

Does the text have to be a script?

No. Prose and screenplay layout both work. Dialogue written as lines is kept word for word; speech inside narration is summarised.

Can I paste a link instead?

No. Links are not fetched. Paste the text itself.

How long will the video be?

It follows the story, not the text length. A Short Drama episode runs up to 240 seconds, a TV Series episode up to 300, and a Film has no cap.

What does it cost to turn a text into video?

Reading is 4 credits per 1,000 characters; video is 10 credits a second on the default tier, and joining is 1 credit a second.

Can I try it without paying?

Yes. Reading costs a few credits from the signup balance, the first 15 setup images and the first storyboard are free, and one preview shot of up to 5 seconds is free.
