A MovieFlow Alternative for AI Drama Series

Updated November 2, 2026

Quick answer: MovieFlow (movieflow.ai, marked Beta) is an AI movie and video generator with a video agent: “Your idea. A movie. In minutes.” Its home page advertises its own model at USD 0.008 a second and five free 5-second videos for new users, and its plans list MovieFlow-2.0, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Kling 3.0 and Vidu. SceneMixer builds a whole drama from a script: an episode outline, a cast drawn once, a storyboard per episode and video segment by segment, with characters performing their lines on screen in 15 languages. Choose MovieFlow for fast short clips from a line of text; choose SceneMixer for a series with a fixed cast.

Clips in seconds, or episodes from a script

MovieFlow sizes its plans in credits, quoting up to 100 five-second clips on Starter and up to 1,430 on Ultra2. The search “movie flow ai” can also mean Google's Flow; this page is about movieflow.ai, and Google Flow has its own page. SceneMixer's unit is the project: every sheet, storyboard and segment belongs to one story.

Stay with MovieFlow if…

  • You want very short clips at a very low price per second — its home page advertises USD 0.008 a second on its own model1.
  • You want several video models in one place — its plans list five video and image models2.
  • You want to try it first — new users get 5 free 5-second videos1.

SceneMixer fits if…

  • You are telling a story in episodes. One read of the script returns the cast, locations, props and an episode-by-episode outline with an end-of-episode hook; each episode gets its own storyboard. Upload a script and read it.
  • The same faces must hold from shot to shot. Reference sheets ride along with every segment, linked by id rather than by name. How consistency works.
  • Your cast should speak a particular language. Pick it in step 1 and the lines are performed in that language as the shot renders — no dubbing pass. Native dialogue vs dubbing.
  • You are adapting one story for a market. The target region adapts names, casting and scenery for Western, East Asian, Southeast Asian or Latin American audiences. Relocate a story by region.
  • You would rather pay as you go. Packs start at $1.49 and plan credits stay in your balance. Do credits expire?

Moving a story over

  1. Bring the story — a script, a document, or one sentence for AI Create.
  2. Set the project in step 1: Type (Short Drama, TV Series or Film), aspect ratio, dialogue language and target region.
  3. Reuse character art you own. On a paid plan, upload it in place of a generated sheet; otherwise generate sheets — the first 15 on an account are free.
  4. Draft cheaply, finish the keepers. Generate at the lowest tier, then regenerate only the segments that will be seen most at a higher resolution. Draft at 480P, finish at 1080P.
A SceneMixer storyboard segment: location, time and weather fields, then numbered shots with durations, asset chips and spoken lines
One storyboard segment: where and when, then numbered shots with durations, the cast in each shot and the spoken lines. Edit the text, then regenerate just that segment.

Frequently asked questions

Is SceneMixer a MovieFlow alternative?

For a drama in episodes with a fixed cast and spoken dialogue, yes. For quick short clips from a line of text, MovieFlow is built around that.

Is MovieFlow the same as Google Flow?

No. MovieFlow is movieflow.ai; Google Flow is Google's studio at flow.google.com. See Google Flow for that one.

How much does MovieFlow cost?

On November 2, 2026, its pricing page listed Starter at $5.75 a month billed yearly (1,000 credits), Standard at $15.83 (1,800), Pro at $32.50 (3,880) and Ultra at $124.92 (14,300), and its home page advertised USD 0.008 a second on its own model. Check movieflow.ai/pricing for current prices.

Can SceneMixer characters talk?

Yes. Lines are written into the storyboard and performed in the video in the project's language, one of 15. Native dialogue vs dubbing.
