Do Credits Expire? And Other Questions About Your Balance

Quick answer: No. Credits you buy and credits your membership grants stay in your balance until you spend them; there is no monthly reset. That holds for every kind: purchased, membership, welcome, bonus and referral credits alike. What can have a deadline is an offer, such as the first-purchase bonus, which is added only to purchases made in time; once added, those credits do not expire either. Your balance is one number for all of them. Part of it can be held while a task runs; held credits come back or turn into a charge when the task ends. Credits cannot be transferred to another account or cashed out.

Where the balance lives

The number in the top bar is your available balance. Open it and you see three things: available, held (credits reserved by tasks still running), and the history of every row. New accounts start with 50 credits; purchases and membership grants add to the same number. Reading the rows: Reading Your Credit History.

Expiry

Purchased credits do not expire. Membership credits, granted each month (on a yearly plan, each month of the year), also stay; an unused monthly grant carries into the next month and is not cleared. What has a date is an offer: the first-purchase bonus stages and a promotion code each work only within their dates, and the page that shows them says until when. The credits they add stay like any others. What a Paid Plan Changes.

Held credits

When a task starts, its price moves from available to held. It is not spent yet: on success it becomes a charge, on failure it comes back. One pool holds all your running tasks, so a large held number simply means several tasks are running. A held amount that stays for a long time belongs to a task waiting for review; the task card says so. Refund rules.

Transfers, sharing, cashing out

Credits belong to the account and cannot be moved to another account, pooled between accounts, or converted back to money except under the refund exceptions. The referral programme rewards you with credits for people you bring in; that is the one way credits arrive from someone else’s activity. The Referral Program.

What happens on cancellation or deletion

Cancelling a card or PayPal membership stops the next renewal; on a quarterly or yearly plan the monthly grants you already paid for keep arriving until the term ends. Credits already granted stay. Deleting your account (in the app, or by writing to support) gives up the remaining balance; it is not refunded. Delete Your Account.

FAQ

Do my membership credits reset at the end of the month?

No. Unused credits carry over.

Why is part of my balance 'held'?

Tasks are running. Held credits return or become charges when they finish.

Can I give credits to a friend?

No. Credits stay on the account that holds them.

Can I convert credits back to money?

Only under the refund exceptions (duplicate charge, unusable purchase, minor).

If I cancel my plan, do I lose the credits it gave me?

No. The next renewal stops; granted credits stay, and a yearly or quarterly plan keeps granting monthly until its term ends.

Spend them when you like
