AI Video Creation Platforms: Ten Things to Check Beyond the Clip

Quick answer: An AI video creation platform is more than the model behind it. Once you make more than one video, the platform layer decides your week: how you sign in, who owns a project, how many generations run at once, how credits and plans behave, what counts against storage, how you get files out, what the content rules do to a batch, and what is stamped on the result. This page lists ten checks at that level, with SceneMixer’s answer to each in the table and the details that need more than a line underneath. It does not rank platforms; it gives you the questions, and the numbers for the one you can try here.

Try it: take the ten checks in the table and put a tick or a question mark beside each for every platform on your shortlist. The question marks are where to read the help pages before you pay.

Accounts and projects

Sign-in. There is no password. You continue with Google, with Apple, or with a six-digit code sent to your email, and a new address gets an account on the spot. Google can be linked later in Settings so that either route reaches the same account. Signing up and logging in.

Who owns a project. A project, its cast, storyboards and videos live in one account, and only that account can edit or generate. There is no team workspace and no shared editing. Reviewers watch through share links that open without an account and cannot edit. A share link does not expire by itself and has a daily play limit; it stops working when the segment, episode or project it points to is deleted. A project cannot be moved between accounts: hand over the script, the character pictures and the downloaded videos. Using SceneMixer as a team · Share links.

Concurrency: how many things run at once

PlanGenerations at onceAlso
Free3Extras wait with their credits held and start by themselves
Pro5A paid plan raises the number, not the speed of one generation
Studio8Same model, same run time
Enterprise10The top three plans also join a priority queue ahead of other users

The limit counts every generation, not only video: segments, sheets, storyboards and composites. Three short interactive steps are never parked: writing a script with AI, suggesting a style and matching a voice. The pricing page lists the larger plans above these. Generating many segments at once.

Credits, plans and what a bill can surprise you with

Credits are held when you press a button, spent when the result arrives, and returned if a confirmed failure means nothing was produced; every movement is a line in the credit history. A plan grants credits at the start of each period into the same balance as packs, and they do not expire at the month’s end. A generation costs the same number of credits on every plan, there is no per-generation member discount, and there is no unlimited plan. Upgrading takes effect at once; downgrading mid-subscription is not possible; cancelling stops the renewal and you keep the plan until the period you paid for ends, with no pro-rata refund. What a paid plan changes.

Content rules and what a batch can trigger

Each video generation blocked by the model provider’s content check counts in a 24-hour window. Past 12 blocks, video submissions from the account are refused for 1 hour; blocks within the number are refunded automatically and later ones are held for review. Only video is paused; sheets, storyboards and edits continue. If you run batches, this is the number to know. How the brake works.

Storage, export and what is stamped on the result

Only what you upload counts against storage, and generated pictures, takes and episodes never do. The asset library shows everything across projects in six tabs and every entry can be downloaded; uploading an image there is a paid-plan feature. Deleting is final. The asset library.

The result carries a small AI badge and a metadata tag on a free account, off by default on a paid plan, and a shared link always carries the badge. Languages are three separate things: the interface language, the language your documents are written in, and the language your characters speak, which can be any of 15. FAQ

What should I look for in an AI video creation platform?

Beyond the clip: sign-in, who owns a project, how many generations run at once, how credits and plans behave, what counts against storage, how you export, the content rules, and what mark the result carries.

Can a team share one project?

Not on SceneMixer: a project belongs to one account, and reviewers watch through share links without signing in.

How many videos can I generate at once?

3 on a free account, 5 on the first paid plan, 8 and 10 on the next two, and more on larger plans. The extras wait and start by themselves.

Is there an unlimited plan?

No. Every plan works in credits. A plan grants credits each period and raises how many generations run together.

Do plan credits expire?

No. They go into the same balance as credits you buy and stay there.

Can I export my project to another platform?

You can download every segment and episode in full quality, and the character pictures. A project cannot be moved to another account.

What happens if my videos are blocked by moderation?

Blocks within a daily number are refunded; past it, video submissions are paused for a short time. Only video is paused.

Does the platform mark AI videos?

Yes: a small AI badge and a metadata tag on a free account, off by default on a paid plan, and a shared link always carries the badge.
