Sample slide text for an original show
THE NIGHT COUNTER — a series about a 24-hour pharmacy in a harbour town.
| # | Slide | Text |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Title | THE NIGHT COUNTER. 8 episodes of 3 minutes, vertical. Everything that matters happens after midnight. |
| 2 | Logline | A pharmacist working the 24-hour counter in a harbour town learns that every customer after midnight is collecting something nobody prescribed. |
| 3 | The world | One pharmacy, one harbour, one night shift. The door is never locked, the till is never empty, and no one comes twice with the same story. |
| 4 | The characters | INES CALDER, 38, night pharmacist, wants to leave and cannot. TOBIAS, 19, her trainee, wants to stay. THE REGULAR, who has never been seen to enter. |
| 5 | Tone and look | Deadpan, warm and cold at once. Neon on wet streets. |
| 6 | The pilot | Ines fills a prescription with no doctor's name, for a boat that left the harbour a year ago. |
| 7 | Season arc | From Ines trying to leave to Ines taking over the counter. Episode 8 answers who the Regular is. |
| 8 | The engine | Each episode: one customer, one unfilled need, one small cost. |
| 9 | The trailer | A one-minute video of the five best moments. |
| 10 | The ask | Read the pilot; a development meeting. |
Make the pieces in this order
- The cast. Draw the leads and the main place; the first 15 setup images on an account are free.
- The trailer first. A one-minute script of five to eight moments with the same cast is the cheapest thing that sells the show. A pilot or pitch trailer · A movie trailer · A sizzle reel.
- The pilot, if the pitch calls for an episode. Set the type to TV Series; an episode runs up to 300 seconds.
- The cover. Open the Cover art tab in Step 2 and generate three options.
- The deck, in your own tool, with the character sheets and cover downloaded from the asset library and a link to the video. The asset library.
Showing the video in the deck
A finished episode can be shared by a link that opens a real page with no sign-in and no expiry, or downloaded at full quality and embedded. A video shared through a SceneMixer link always shows the AI label, even on a paid plan; your own download is unaffected. Compositing and sharing · Share links.
Say plainly what it is
- Call it previs or a proof of concept, not a finished broadcast. What is previs? · AI drama clips as previs.
- No famous faces. Real people cannot be depicted, so there is no casting a known actor in the trailer.
- Say it is AI-made. Do AI videos need a label?
- Follow the recipient's rules. Whoever you pitch to has their own submission format and their own view of AI-made material; check before you send.
Make it in SceneMixer, start to finish
- Script: paste your own on Upload Script, or write the brief above in AI Create and let it draft the episodes.
- Step 1: Type TV Series; Scene Style Street Life, Neon Nights; Costume Style Smart Casual, Professional Uniforms; Visual Style Shot on Film, Digital HD; Target Region; dialogue language; 9:16 Portrait. Then read the script.
- Step 2: Draw Ines, Tobias and the Regular, and the pharmacy and the harbour street as locations; they are reused in the pilot and the trailer. The first 15 setup images on an account are free.
- Storyboard: generate episode 1 first (free on your first drama) and read it before you render anything. One place per segment.
- Video: render on the default tier at 10 credits a second, fix single shots instead of whole episodes, then put the episode together and post.
| Piece | Length | What it proves |
|---|---|---|
| Pitch trailer | About 60 seconds | The tone, the cast and the hook |
| Pilot episode | Up to 300 seconds | That the first episode works |
| Cast sheets | A page of images | That the characters have faces |
| Promo cover | One image, two shapes | That the show has a title and a look |
FAQ
How do I make a pitch deck for a TV show?
Write about ten slides: title, logline, world, characters, tone, pilot, season arc, engine, trailer and ask. SceneMixer makes the pictures and video that go on them.
Does SceneMixer make slide decks?
No. It makes a cast, a pilot episode, a one-minute trailer and a promo cover. You write the deck in your own tool.
How do I pitch a TV show?
Lead with a logline you can say in one breath, show the cast and a one-minute trailer, and send what the recipient asks for, in the format they ask for.
How long should a pitch trailer be?
About a minute, with five to eight moments.
Do I need a pilot episode?
Not always. A trailer proves the tone; a pilot proves the story works. Make the trailer first.
Can I use famous actors in the trailer?
No. Real people cannot be depicted.
Can I download the character sheets?
Yes. Every sheet, scene image and video can be downloaded from the asset library.
Is it broadcast quality?
Treat it as previs: tone, cast and pacing. Higher resolution is available for the best clips.
Make the trailer, write the deck
Draw the cast once and use it in the pilot and the trailer.
