How a remake works, step by step is the overview; this page is the limits and the money.
One clip, MP4 or MOV, no longer than the length the composer’s hint gives (Step 1: add a clip — up to N minutes), within the megabyte limit it prints under the box (MP4 / MOV up to N MB). Longer or larger clips are refused before anything is charged, with a message to trim or export a smaller version. A file that cannot be read is refused too: export it again as MP4 or MOV.
Use material you have the rights to. The note under the box says it plainly: we read it, then shoot it again — the result is a new picture. The source is never handed to the video model, and the faces in the result are your own cast’s. Reading a clip is not a licence to its story. Rights.
Optional: say in one line who to watch and how they are related — the things the picture alone will not tell us. Names, relationships, who the lead is. It helps the read name the cast sensibly; leave it blank and names are invented.
The read is priced by the clip’s length alone, in minutes, rounded up to the next minute; the number of cuts never enters the price. The button shows the figure before you start. It is charged when the read completes. Everything after the read — images, storyboards, video — is priced as in any drama, step by step. Where credits go.
The progress page (Reading your clip) walks through Splitting into shots, Identifying characters, scenes and props, Reading each shot — picture and dialogue with a shot counter, and Checking and laying out the storyboard. Names appear as they are found. A clip of a couple of minutes takes several minutes to read; the page shows elapsed time and an estimate. You can leave; it finishes without you.
Here is what we found: N shots, N characters, N scenes, N props, N lines of dialogue. Then Open the project: step 1 of the wizard, where you choose the visual style before any images are made. After the read.

The page says where (Stopped here) and why. Usually the upstream service was busy and Try again works. Credits that were not used go back to your balance; a read that never finished is not charged. Cancel this remake does the same: unused credits return, and to start over you upload the clip again from the home page.
