AI Visuals on a 30-Second Segment: Pick the First or the Second Half

Quick answer: AI visuals works on up to 15 seconds at a time, so on a clip longer than that the panel first asks for First half or Second half. Only that half is changed; the other half is not touched, and the two are joined back into one clip automatically. You pay for the half: a 30-second segment is charged as 15 seconds. To change the whole clip, run the second half on the result of the first. Re-perform in Redub is not offered for clips this long; Lip sync is.

A 30-second clip on Wan 3.0 · 480P: one half changed to Night costs 15 × 20 credits; both halves, two edits, twice that.

Which clips are split

Any clip longer than 15 seconds — in practice the 30-second segments made on the tiers that allow them. A 15-second or shorter clip is edited whole and the choice does not appear. 15-second or 30-second segments.

How the split works

The clip is divided exactly in the middle. The half you pick is re-rendered with your change; the other half is not touched at all. The two are then joined in their original order, so the result is one clip of the original length, saved as an AI edit version. You see the hint under the choice: Over 15 s — pick the half to edit; it’s stitched back automatically.

Mind the join

Because only one half changes, anything that should be continuous can jump at the middle. Turn only the first half to night and the light switches mid-clip; recolour a dress in the second half and it changes colour at the cut. That is useful when the change should happen there — the lights go on half-way — and a problem when it should not. For a change that must hold through the whole clip, edit both halves: first one half, then the other half of the new version.

Doing both halves

  1. Run the edit on the First half. When it lands, the AI-edited version becomes the active one.
  2. Open AI visuals again. The panel now works on that new version; choose Second half and the same change.
  3. The second edit is made from the first one, so the result carries both halves; it replaces the first AI-edited version in the history.

Each run is charged for its half: two runs on a 30-second clip cost the same as one 30-second edit would, 2× the tier’s per-second price × 30.

Redub on long clips

Lip sync handles the whole clip in one go and is charged per second of the whole clip, 1 credit a second. Re-perform, which re-plays the clip with new lines, is only offered for clips of 15 seconds or less; on a longer clip its option is greyed out. Lip sync or Re-perform.

FAQ

Can I choose where the clip is split?

No. It is always the middle. If you only need part of the clip, trim it to 15 seconds or less first; a clip that short is edited whole.

Does the untouched half lose quality?

Not visibly. It is not generated again; it is joined to the changed half as it is.

Why can't I re-perform a 30-second clip?

Re-perform replays the clip from itself, and it can take only 15 seconds at a time. Use Lip sync, or regenerate the segment with the new lines.

Do I pay twice for a whole 30-second clip?

You pay for each half once, which adds up to the whole clip.

Edit one half, or both

Pick the half, see the price, and the other half stays exactly as it was.
