AI Movie Maker

Quick answer: Type an idea, set the content type to Film, and SceneMixer writes the screenplay, reads it into scenes, draws the cast and the locations once, plans every shot and generates the film segment by segment with spoken dialogue and a score. You watch each sequence before paying for the next, fix single shots instead of whole scenes, and join the result into one file. Video costs 10 credits a second on the default tier.

Why Film type matters

Short-form drama forces a hook every ninety seconds and dialogue that says everything out loud. Film switches that off: scenes can breathe, lines can carry subtext, and a sequence can end on a look. It also removes the per-episode length cap, so the story is divided into acts rather than episodes. Choose it before the read; it cannot be changed afterwards. Short drama, series or film.

Directing without a camera

You direct through text. The storyboard says who is in frame, where they stand, what they say and how long each shot holds. Change the words and the next render follows. Camera language such as slow push in or over-the-shoulder works when written into the shot. How to write one shot and write positions the world can read.

When a shot comes out wrong, you do not start again. Trim it, redub a line, change one thing with AI visuals, or regenerate that segment alone. Edit this clip.

How long a movie, and what it costs

Length is built from segments of a few seconds up to 30, joined into a cut. A ten-minute short is 600 seconds of video at 10 credits a second, plus 1 credit a second for the join and whatever you retake. A feature is nine times that. The honest advice: make a short or one sequence first, watch it, and decide from there. Can AI make a full-length movie yet?

Limits worth knowing

  • No continuous long take: every shot is a generation of limited length.
  • Crowd battles and long fight choreography are steered around; background people are scenery. Fights and crowds.
  • No real actors' faces or famous characters.
  • No timeline for footage you shot yourself; the film is generated from the storyboard.

In SceneMixer vs. stitching tools together

Most AI drama workflows are five or six tools in a row. This is where each step happens here, and what it replaces.

StepIn SceneMixerDoing it by hand with separate tools
Script and episode planPaste a script or a novel, or type one line: it is read into a cast, locations, props and an episode outline you can editA chat model writes the script; you split it into episodes and carry the text from tool to tool
Character faces and placesEvery character, location and prop is drawn once as a reference sheet and attached to every shot it appears inAn image model, one sheet at a time; you upload the right reference to every clip yourself
ShotsA storyboard per episode with numbered shots and seconds; video is generated segment by segment in 9:16 or 16:9 against the same sheetsA video model, one clip per prompt, describing the same people again each time
Voices and dialogueLines are performed in the video itself, one voice per character, in any of 15 languagesA text-to-speech tool for each line, then a lip-sync pass on every clip
Fixing one shotEdit that shot's text and regenerate the segment alone; the rest of the episode is untouchedRegenerate the clip, then re-cut the timeline
FinishingSegments are composited into one episode file with its score; members download without the AI badgeA video editor to join the clips, add music and captions, then export

Can you make money with AI dramas on TikTok and YouTube?

Yes, within each platform's rules, and the rules are about the account and the video, not about how the video was made. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program (checked November 2, 2026) is open to personal accounts aged 18+ in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil with at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days; a rewarded video must be original, longer than one minute and reach 1,000 views on the For You feed. YouTube's Partner Program needs 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.

Both platforms require realistic AI-generated content to be labelled, and YouTube states that disclosing AI use alone does not limit a video's audience or its eligibility to earn. SceneMixer episodes are longer than a minute by design, carry an AI badge by default (members can switch it off and add the platform's own label instead), and are yours to publish. FAQ

Can I make a movie with AI from just an idea?

Yes. AI Create writes the screenplay from one line; then the same pipeline reads, casts, storyboards and renders it.

How long can an AI movie be?

There is no cap on a Film project's length; it is built from segments and joined. Cost, not a limit, is what usually decides.

Do the characters talk?

Yes. Dialogue is spoken in the generation itself, in the language you chose, with a voice per character.

Can I use my own script?

Yes. Paste it or upload TXT, DOCX or Markdown; screenplay layout works.

Can I change a scene after it is made?

Yes. Edit the storyboard text and regenerate that segment, or trim, redub or retouch the clip.

Is there music?

A score is added automatically under the voices; the Music switch gives a dialogue-only version.

What does it cost to try?

Your first drama gets free setup images, a free first storyboard and a short free preview; video is charged by the second.

Is SceneMixer like ReelShort or DramaBox?

No. ReelShort and DramaBox are apps for watching short dramas. SceneMixer is for making them: it turns your script or novel into episodes with a consistent cast and spoken dialogue, and you publish the episodes wherever you like, including those platforms' creator programmes where they exist.
