The default tier and the Recommended badge lists the tier the fallback lands on.
| Situation | What the site does | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| A tier is withdrawn for good | Text and image fall back to the default; video to this episode’s last-used tier, else the default | The tier list no longer shows it; the price on the button is the replacement’s |
| A tier is temporarily unavailable | It is hidden from the tier list until it is back | It is missing from the list; pick another tier until it is back |
| The editor was open when a tier changed | The next generate is checked against the current list | “The selected video tier no longer exists — refresh and pick another.” |
Sheets and segments already made keep their pixels and their record of which tier made them. Versions are kept. Nothing is regenerated on your behalf, and nothing is charged by a fallback; the charge happens only when you generate, at the price shown for the tier that runs.
The price on the generate button is computed from the tier that will actually run, after any fallback. If your saved preference points at a withdrawn tier, the button already shows the price of the tier that replaced it. There is no case where you are charged for a tier you did not see named.
Refresh the page; open the tier list; choose a tier from it; regenerate what you need. If you relied on a tier’s specific limits (the 30-second takes, the 2K render), check the replacement’s page for its own.
No. Existing renders and versions are untouched.
For text and images, the default. For video, the tier this episode last used if it is still listed, otherwise the default. The page on the default tier and the Recommended badge lists the current defaults.
No. The button shows and charges the price of the tier that runs.
It is temporarily unavailable; hidden tiers come back when they are.
Not for the fallback to work; do it when you want a specific replacement.
Open the editor, choose a tier, and generate; the price you see is the price you pay.
