Open a shot and add "Ambient: a radio playing an old love song in the kitchen", then generate that segment and listen.
Voices for every line, lips moving with them, and the sound of the place from the shot’s Ambient line. Dramas are not asked for a score. Each segment is generated on its own, so music made per segment would change at every cut; one track over the whole episode avoids that. When a clip does come with a little music, it is that clip’s own and may not match the next one. Dialogue and sound in one generation.
If the music is something the characters could hear, write it as sound in the shot: Ambient: a busker’s violin across the square, Ambient: the café radio, quiet. It is generated with the clip, like rain or traffic. Keep it short and specific, and keep it under the dialogue by saying so: quiet, far off.
Composite and share an episode.
An ad project describes its music from the ad’s tone, the same description for every segment, so the ad is scored from the start. Where the music in an ad comes from.
| You want | Where it comes from | How |
|---|---|---|
| Music the characters hear | The clip | Write it in the shot's Ambient line |
| A score across the episode | Your own edit | Download the composite, add one track under it |
| Music in an ad | The ad's tone | Chosen when the ad is made |
Not for dramas. Download the composite and add music in a video editor or the platform you post to.
The sound is one track, so music cannot be lifted out on its own. Regenerate the segment, or cover it with your own score.
Each segment is generated separately, so separate scores would change at every cut. One track over the episode stays continuous.
Well under the voices, and lower still under dialogue. If you have to strain to hear a line, the music is too loud.
Composite, download, one licensed track under the whole thing.
