Pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay or in Your Local Currency

The three tabs in the payment window

The payment window on the international site has a row of tabs, each shown by its logos:

• Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — card brands and wallets, in an embedded form.
• PayPal.
• Airwallex — the logos of the local methods available to you, for example WeChat Pay or Alipay. The bottom of the tab reads Processed by Airwallex.

Apple Pay is only on the card tab; the Airwallex tab never offers it. The Chinese site, scenemixer.cn, has its own payment methods and none of these tabs. Buy credits, step by step.

Which methods you will see

The Airwallex tab shows only the methods that can take a payment from you: a method appears when it accepts US dollars or your local currency, judged from the country you are connecting from. As of October 2026:

• On a phone or a tablet, WeChat Pay is not offered. Paying it means scanning a code, which you cannot do with the same phone; use a computer, or another method.
• Other local methods can appear later for other regions; the tab always shows the ones that work for you at that moment.
• When buying credits, the Airwallex form can also offer a card and Google Pay alongside the local methods.

Buy credits with a local method

1. Open the window. Click your balance at the top right, then Buy Credits, and choose a pack. The summary shows what you pay, in US dollars.
2. Choose the Airwallex tab. Before anything loads it shows a short summary and a note: The next page shows the local currencies and payment methods available where you are. Any currency conversion fee is charged by Airwallex.
3. Press Continue to payment. The order is created now, and the form loads: Loading the secure payment form…
4. Pick a method. The local methods come first. The form shows the amount in the currency you will pay.
5. Pay. WeChat Pay shows a QR code to scan with the WeChat app on your phone; Alipay follows its own confirmation.
6. Wait for the confirmation. The window says Payment received. Confirming…, then shows your new balance. If confirming takes longer: Airwallex is still confirming this payment. Credits arrive automatically once it completes; check your order history in a moment.

The order appears in Order History on the billing page with Airwallex as its channel.

A membership: one period, or a subscription

Choose a plan and a cycle on the membership page and press subscribe; on the Airwallex tab the window lists payment methods as rows:

One period, no renewal: pay with the local method in the form. The window says Payment received. Activating your membership…; if it takes longer, Airwallex is still confirming this payment. Your membership activates automatically once it completes. The plan’s credits arrive like any other membership. Nothing is charged later; there is nothing to cancel.

Subscription: Renews automatically through Airwallex. Cancel any time on the membership page; after cancelling, access continues until the current period ends. Once you start an Airwallex subscription checkout for a plan, the window stays on that tab: An Airwallex subscription checkout has been started for this plan. To pay another way, close this window and choose the plan again.

The one-period row only appears when a local method is available to you; on a phone outside the regions where Alipay is offered there may be none, and only the subscription row shows. Subscribe, upgrade or cancel a plan.

One provider renews your plan

A membership renews through one provider at a time. If your plan renews automatically through Airwallex, plan changes go through Airwallex and the other tabs say so: Your membership renews through Airwallex. Please use Airwallex for plan changes. The same rule applies the other way round when your plan renews by card or PayPal. To switch, cancel the renewal, let the period end, then subscribe with the other method. Payment methods by site.

Currency, fees and refunds

• The price is set in US dollars. The Airwallex form converts it to your currency; the conversion fee, if there is one, is Airwallex’s, as the tab says before you continue.
• Your statement shows the amount in the currency you paid.
• Refunds follow the same rules as any other payment and go back to the method you paid with. Refund rules.
• Card details typed into the Airwallex form go to Airwallex: Card details are encrypted and never reach our servers.

If the payment does not go through

Never pay twice for the same thing while one payment says it is still being confirmed. Payment did not go through · Previous payment still being processed.
