What Each Status Means

Quick answer: Every job on SceneMixer — a segment’s video, a character’s image, an episode’s composite — shows a one-word status where it lives. Pending: nothing generated yet. Waiting or Queued: submitted, not started. Generating: running, with a usual time shown. taking longer than usual, still running: still running. Done: delivered and charged. Failed: not delivered; read the message. Only Failed ever needs something from you.

Segment videos

Pending. The segment has text but no video. Press Generate Video when it is ready.

Waiting. You pressed generate, but it is behind other jobs of yours. There is a limit to how many run at once for one account (paid plans raise it); the rest wait their turn and start on their own.

Queued, starting shortly. Submitted and about to start. Credits are held.

Generating. Running. The pane shows the usual time for the tier — typically ten to twenty minutes. Leave the page if you like. Why it takes time.

taking longer than usual, still running. Past the usual time, not failed. Wait.

Stopping. You pressed Stop on a parse, storyboard or AI Create job; it is being cancelled. Video clips have no Stop. What stopping refunds.

Done. The clip is in the preview pane; credits charged; a new entry in Version History.

Failed. Not delivered. The message says whether credits came back, are on hold, or the clip was blocked. Failure messages.

The episode timeline: every segment as a card with its thumbnail and duration
Each card on the timeline carries its segment's status; the preview pane spells it out.

Images in step 2

A character, scene or prop card is Pending (no image yet), Generating, Done (the image is shown), Failed (regenerate or upload), or Uploaded (your own image, which is never overwritten by generation). The progress line at the top of the tab counts how many of the batch are done.

Composites

Composite Episode is available once every segment is Done; before that the button explains how many are left. While it runs the record says Processing; then Done with a play button, or Failed with a message and Composite Again. Compositing.

Episodes and projects

An episode whose storyboard is being written says so on its card in step 3 and in the editor; generating a video for it is refused until the storyboard lands. A project being read shows the reading stages in step 1. An ad shows its stage on its progress page; a remake shows its reading stages. None of these need anything from you while they run.

On hold

One status is not on a card: credits on hold pending a support review, shown in a failure message. A person checks what happened and either returns the credits or delivers the clip. Do not resubmit.

FAQ

What is the difference between Waiting and Queued?

Waiting is behind your own other jobs — the per-account limit. Queued is submitted and about to start.

It has said Generating for a long time.

If it says taking longer than usual, it is still running. Wait for it; a running clip cannot be stopped.

Does Done mean I was charged?

Yes. Credits are held when you confirm and charged when the clip is delivered.

What does Pending mean on an image card?

No image has been generated for that entry yet. Generate it, or Generate All.

Why is the composite button not available?

Every segment must be Done first. The button says how many are left.

Watch a status change

Generate one segment and follow its card from Queued to Done.
