Change a Character's Clothes Colour, Scar or Expression in a Finished Clip

Quick answer: Open Edit this clip → AI visuals, pick Clothes color, Scar or Expression, choose the option, and pick the character under Who. Clothes keep their cut and fabric and only change colour; Scar → Add gives a fresh cut on the face, Remove takes every wound off; an expression holds for the whole clip while the body moves as before. It costs 2× the per-second price of the clip’s tier for the length of the clip, and changes this clip only — not the character sheet.

Pick the character from the Who row: people who appear in this segment are listed first, and if only one does, they are already selected.

Clothes color

Eight colours: red, blue, black, white, green, yellow, purple and gray. The garment keeps its cut, fabric and fit; only the colour changes, on the character you picked. Use it when one scene needs a different look — a red dress for the party, a black coat for the funeral — or when a clip came out with the wrong colour.

If the outfit should be different in the whole series, change the character instead: edit the sheet (or add a costume state) and regenerate the segments that use it. AI-edit a character sheet and Costume changes and states.

Scar

Add puts a fresh cut on the character’s face with a thin trail of blood; the rest of the face stays as it was. You do not choose where it goes. Remove makes the skin clean everywhere: no wounds, no blood and no bruises on the face or body — not only the scar you had in mind. Wounds are a sensitive subject for content review; a blocked edit is refunded. Blocked by moderation.

Expression

Terrified, Calm, Smiling, Angry, Sad or Crying. The face holds that expression through the whole clip and the body moves exactly as before, so a character who shouted still shouts, now with a different face. Expressions are the subtlest of the eight changes: they read best in close and medium shots with the face toward the camera, and can be hard to see in a wide shot. If the acting itself is wrong, change the line or the action in the storyboard and regenerate.

Step by step

  1. Select the segment and open Edit this clip → AI visuals.
  2. For a clip over 15 seconds, choose which half.
  3. Click the change, then the option (a colour, Add or Remove, an expression).
  4. Under Who, click the character.
  5. Press Edit into a new version. The new version is labelled AI edit in the history, with a note such as “Mara · clothes → red”.

One person, one change per edit

Each edit changes one thing on one character. To recolour two people, or to recolour and add a scar, run a second edit on the result. Each run is charged, and the newer AI-edited version replaces the older one in the history. Everything AI visuals can change.

FAQ

Does this change the character sheet?

No. Only this clip changes; other segments and later regenerations use the sheet as it is.

Can I choose where the scar goes?

No. Add gives a fresh cut on the face; for a specific wound, describe it in the storyboard or the sheet and regenerate.

Can I pick a colour that is not in the list?

No. For another colour, change the character's clothing and regenerate.

Why are Clothes color, Scar and Expression greyed out?

The project has no characters. These three changes need a character to apply to.
