A Higgsfield Alternative for AI Drama Series

Updated October 13, 2026

Quick answer: If you are making a multi-episode story with the same cast, SceneMixer is built for that job: start from a script, a novel or one sentence, and it produces the cast, an episode outline, a storyboard for every episode and the video segment by segment, then joins each episode into one file. Higgsfield describes itself as an AI-native creative suite with 35+ models and tools, which makes it the closer fit if you want to choose a model for each shot, train a character identity from photos or produce ads. SceneMixer video starts at about $0.06 a second on pay-as-you-go credits, and plan credits do not expire at the end of the month.

Two different centres of gravity

Higgsfield describes itself as a creative suite: 35+ models and tools in one account, with studios built on top of them for camera and lens control, character identity, lip sync, ads, and an agent that runs production from a single chat1. SceneMixer is organised around a project: one script becomes one show, and every later step — reference art, storyboards, video, compositing — inherits the same cast and locations. Neither approach is better in general; they suit different work.

Moving a story over

  1. Bring the script. Paste it, upload .txt, .docx or .md, or start from one sentence.
  2. Set the project in step 1: Type (Short Drama, TV Series or Film), aspect ratio, dialogue language and target region.
  3. Reuse character art you own. On a paid plan, upload it in place of a generated sheet; otherwise generate sheets — the first 15 on an account are free.
  4. Draft cheaply, finish the keepers. Generate at the lowest tier, then regenerate only the segments that will be seen most at a higher resolution. Draft at 480P, finish at 1080P.
