AI Video Generator Tools: What Is Inside One Generator

Try it: open any sample project, then find three things in it: the voice line under a character, the shot list of one segment, and the Edit this clip panel under a finished clip. That is a quarter of the bench.
Reading tools: from words to a project
Script writer (AI Create). You give one or two sentences carrying genre, lead, conflict, ending and tone; it drafts a script. It is charged by length, 4 credits per 1,000 counted characters at the default text tier, and every draft is kept in Writing History. Writing the one-line brief.
Script reader (the read). Paste or upload .txt, .docx or .md and the reader turns it into characters, locations, props and an episode split. It is charged once per project at 4 credits per 3,333 English characters, and after it everything it wrote is editable for free. Long scripts are read in two passes. Long scripts are read in two passes.
Remake reader. Upload one MP4 or MOV and it is read shot by shot into a cast, sets and a storyboard. It is priced by the clip’s length in minutes, rounded up, and the source is never handed to the video model. How to remake a video with AI.
Casting tools: who and where things look like
Character, scene and prop sheets. One image per entry, made from its description, then used as the reference for every shot that includes it. The first 15 on an account are free; after that each is 7 credits on the default image tier. You can regenerate, edit the description, or replace the sheet with your own image on a paid plan. The same face in every shot.
State images. A second reference for a thing that changes shape: a full change of outfit, a burnt hall, a drawn blade. The script reader proposes them within caps (up to three looks for a character, two for a location, one for a prop) and works out which segment uses which. Creating or editing states by hand is a member feature. Costume changes and scene states.
Voice matcher. Each character starts with a voice written in words. A free pass can match it to a preset from the built-in library, which you can play before choosing, and an uploaded voice is a paid-plan feature. How character voices work.
Planning tools: the storyboard and its editors
Storyboard generator. Turns each episode into numbered shots with seconds, charged per episode at 1 credit per 100 counted characters; episode 1 of your first drama is free. Shots / Text editor. Rewrite a shot by hand: free. AI edit. Describe a change in plain words and the storyboard text is revised, 1 credit per revision that comes back. Text history. Restores any earlier storyboard text, free. AI edit the storyboard text · Text history.
Shooting tools: from text to a clip
Segment generator. One press makes one segment, picture and sound together, at the tier in the top bar; the price is on the button before you press it. Default tier: 10 credits a second. Generate all submits every segment that has no clip yet in timeline order. Free preview makes one shot of up to 5 seconds, once per account. Join (Composite Episode) stitches finished segments into the episode at 1 credit a second. Generate all segments at once · Composite and share an episode.
Repair tools: fix a clip without re-shooting it
Under every finished clip sits Edit this clip with four tabs. Each fix is priced on its button and refunded if it fails.
| Tool | What it changes | What it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Trim | Cuts the start or the end | 5 credits per saved trim |
| AI visuals | One change from a fixed menu of eight: clothes colour, time of day, weather, background people, lights, a scar, an expression, or swapping one character | 2× the per-second price of the clip’s tier, for the clip’s length |
| Redub | New lines or a new voice. Lip sync keeps the picture, re-voices every line and moves the mouths to match (the take’s own ambience is dropped). Re-perform plays the clip again with the new lines, so the picture may shift a little; clips of 15 seconds or less | Lip sync 1 credit a second; Re-perform priced like AI visuals |
| Enhance | Raises the clip one resolution step (480P to 720P to 1080P to 2K) | Per second, by option and target; shown on the card |
None of them changes framing, camera or where people stand; those are a storyboard edit and a regeneration. What each clip fix costs · What AI visuals can change.
Finishing tools: music, words, cover and sharing
Score. Each episode is scored for you from its storyboard and mixed under the voices; the Music switch by the player turns it off. There is no track picker. Included in the video price. The built-in score.
Subtitles. A switch beside Music shows each line as it is spoken and offers a burned-in download and an SRT file for a whole episode. No credits, available once an account has bought credits or a plan. Add subtitles.
Cover art. Three poster options from your leads’ sheets, priced as images, with one free batch on your first drama. Make a promo cover poster. Share page and download. A share link is free and public; a download is the full-quality file. Original versus play version.
What is not on the bench
There is no stand-alone text-to-speech, face-swap, upscaler or timeline editor to open on their own. Voices, lips and ambience come with each clip; Enhance works only on clips made on the site; and cutting a finished episode against your own footage, adding titles or colour grading is a job for an editor you already use after you download. If you need one of those, the honest route is to export the file and finish elsewhere.

FAQ
What tools does an AI video generator need?
At minimum something to read your text into a cast and shots, something to draw reference images, something to turn shots into clips with sound, and a way to join the clips. SceneMixer adds voices, a score, four clip fixes, subtitles and cover art.
Which tools are free here?
Editing text by hand, text history, matching a voice, switching between takes you already have, the share page, and the score and subtitles once you qualify. Anything that calls an image or video model is charged.
Can I fix one shot without remaking the episode?
Yes. Edit the shot text and regenerate that one segment, or use Edit this clip for a trim, one of eight picture changes, a re-voice or an enhance.
Is there a tool to change the camera angle afterwards?
No. Framing, camera and positions are changed by editing the storyboard text and regenerating the segment.
Is there a separate voice or text-to-speech tool?
No. Dialogue is spoken inside each clip. You can change a character’s voice and re-voice a finished clip, but there is no stand-alone narration tool.
Can I pick the music?
No. The score is chosen for each episode and can be switched off; you can then lay your own track in an editor after downloading.
Do I need to install anything?
No. All of these run in the browser; the heavy work happens on servers.
What do repairs cost compared with regenerating?
A picture fix costs 2× a regeneration of the same length, a re-voice costs a small fraction, a trim is a flat fee. Compare the two prices on screen before you choose.
